Mission work

Global missions grounded in partnership, preparation, and service.

Across 14 mission trips, I have served in Cuba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Dallas, and Texas correctional facilities. These experiences have included evangelism, youth programming, leadership development, medical outreach, sports camps, sanitation education, community enrichment, revival events, economic empowerment, and ministry to incarcerated populations.

Approach

Mission leadership philosophy

Effective mission work requires more than enthusiasm. It requires preparation, humility, cultural intelligence, accountability, logistics, risk awareness, teamwork, local partnership, and a willingness to learn.
  • Preparing teams before departure
  • Respecting local leadership
  • Understanding culture and history
  • Developing missionaries rather than simply assigning tasks
  • Protecting children and vulnerable populations
  • Building sustainable partnerships
  • Measuring impact responsibly
  • Avoiding savior-centered storytelling
  • Prioritizing relationship over performance
